He layed the foundation for the new St Peter's Cathedral in Rom and established the swiss guard as the main security force of the Vatican. On January 22 1506 a group of 150 swiss guards from the region of Uri moved for the first time into the Vatican. Honoring this important figure Monblanc created this beautiful additon in their 4810 series in a vermeil skeleton overlay over an eggshell lacquer body.The yellow gold nib is finely engraved. |
